      Thank you for opening this beautiful sleeve.

      You're holding an album that doesn't fully exist yet: a cover without its record. Until the vinyl is pressed, this is where 8 plays, and you're one of the first to hear it.

      For Oma

      8 is dedicated to my grandmother. The photo on the cover is the last one I ever got to take of her, standing in her lit doorway at night. The 8 is painted over that moment, because she didn't end there. She's in every note.

      Who made it

      I grew up with brass. My mother played in a brass band, and at ten I picked up the tuba and joined Fanfare Excelsior Terhole. Later I went looking for my own sound, and in 2019 that search took me to Los Angeles, to work in the music industry at Create Music Group.

      Then a car accident in California changed everything. That, and the pandemic that followed, brought me back to the basics: breath, movement and recovery. In 2020 I picked up a trumpet, soon after the flugelhorn, with one rule. Play from the heart.

      Since then I've worked closely with Wim Hof and with James Nestor, author of Breath, and guided thousands of people through breathwork, cold, movement and recovery. The flugelhorn always comes along: from James Nestor's Breath Retreat in Costa Rica and retreats in Thailand to a meditative concert in Dubai, and on to France, Norway and beyond. Trained in deep tissue massage, Asian Free Flow and yoga, I bring it all together in one approach: breath, movement and music, to calm the nervous system and bring body and mind back into balance.

      8 is where all of that meets. Music to breathe to, to feel, and to come home to, with one mission: helping people feel happier and healthier.
